Because when the snow melts, you might find out that your lawn is actually a stretch of gravel. Which not only resembles kitty litter, but must be owing to the fact that there is about 5 years of cat crap buried two inches under the rocks.

Oh no, really? That's your current backyard? Yikes. Maybe some actual kitty litter would freshen up the smell of any old cat poop.
That is your current home you are living in? At first I thought it was your home in Boise and the people who were renting from you put gravel in your backyard!!!
that's too bad! The good news - your kids can just go to the bathroom outside and bury it!
We are in a similar situation- renting in Washington and we own a home in Utah! It is a weird thing to be a tenant and also have tenants. Sadly we actually like the house we're renting more than the one we own!
Nothing worse than home ownership and renting? How about having your skin turn into velveeta cheese in the middle of band practice?
Let's get some perspective here.
