Six

My friend Meg played a cool game recently that I thought would be fun.

It's called Six. I'm going to list 5 things true about me, 1 thing false. You're supposed to guess which one is false.

1. I got dropped on my head crowd surfing at a Papa Roach concert.
2. I saw a shark one time when snorkeling on the north shore of Oahu.
3. While "engaged" to Rusty, I went on a date with a schizophrenic.
4. In my third grade class picture, I made a funny face.
5. I waited over a year after I got married to send out my "Dear John" letter.
6. I once spent the night sitting in an aisle at Wal Mart.

By the way, if you know one (or more) of them to be true, don't give it away in the comments!

What are the odds?

The other day, Rusty and I were hanging out outside when we spotted an airplane really high up in the air. We watched it for a minute, and we saw two people jump out of it! How often do you get to see someone jump from an airplane? Sure you see them with their parachutes, but never before.

It was pretty random, so I thought I'd tell you all the other random things I've encountered.

A few years ago, Rusty sold something on ebay. I went to ship it the day it got sold, and realized that I knew the person that bought it! So I hand-delivered the package instead. Saved us a few bucks on shipping.

I have a one-in-a-million baby boy. Have you ever heard of a little boy that doesn't pee when getting his diaper changed? Yeah, amazing that I've never been peed on.

I guess this would make a more interesting post if I could thing of other random things. So go ahead and leave a comment with your one-in-a-million stories.

Do you want to be my neighbor?

There are two houses in our neighborhood, 2700 sq. ft and 3500 sq. ft. that have just been marked down to $149,000.  That's less than what we paid for our house!

Actually, even better, does someone have an extra 150K that we can borrow?

For all your blog hopping...

My blog is

find your friends at theBlogFrog.com

You should really go list yourselves.  Then you can search for people you know that you haven't seen in 10+ years, that you haven't actually cared enough to keep in contact with, and don't really wish to in any other way other than blog stalking and/or facebook stalking.

You can even find them by their highschool /college /employment /church.  I started a Silverdale Stake page.

Come on.  Be a follower.

Game Day

Today was the big UH vs. BSU game. Last year was much more fun (when we won) and when we lived across the street from the Aloha stadium.

This year, we don't even have a TV. Nor do we have a radio. So we "watched" the game by continually refreshing KTVB.

Do you see the BRONCOS ALERT > Boise State 24 Hawaii 7? Yeah, we did that for 4 hours.

Then we had a killer after party.

Yum! S'mores!

Gone

I've recently accepted the fact that I've lost two things. The first was a pair of tennis shoes I bought about a year ago. They were pink. I love pink, especially on shoes. You see the thing is, is I have ginormous feet. 95% of the shoes I own, I bought in the men's department. So to be able to own a pair of pink shoes is a really important thing to me, you might even say that it makes me feel like a woman, even moreso than giving birth does. Why? I have no idea. Maybe it's that I wear men's shoes everyday, but have only given birth twice.

Anyways, two months after I bought them, we moved. I was sure I had left them at my mom's house over Christmas break, but there was no sign of them at our last visit. So there's probably some lucky drifter wandering the streets between Seattle and Boise with a pair of pink shoes. It's probably a male drifter, too.

The other thing I lost was my blanket. Or atleast scraps of my blanket. Years ago, I started making a blue jeans quilt for a guy I was dating. Well, he broke up with me, so I continued making it for my next boyfriend. And then he broke up with me. So then the quilt was going to be for Rusty, and since I had all of eternity to work on it, I kept putting it off. I guess my mom must have thrown it away. I should take away some of her points for that.

The Seven Scents of Boise

On the way to Target last night, we smelled cow.  On the way back, it was rotting fish.

You get extra points for naming the other 5 scents of Boise.

Just a boring Saturday...

I know that everyone is thinking, "Who is that kid??" I've been thinking it myself all day.

Surprise! It's Austin! Minus a couple inches of hair. He actually had a face under all of that! Who knew? That makes a total of 7 inches chopped off in the last 10 months.

Ashlyn falls asleep coloring every night. I have to pry the markers out of her hands.

And because I was in her room prying things out of her hands, I couldn't help but take a picture of the piggies. It's been what? 3 months now? Yeah, they're slowly, but surely getting done.

And no, they're eyes won't always be back. But it is almost Halloween, so it's okay that they're demon pigs this month.

Ashlyn

I know Austin needs a turn at this (especially since he's one now), but he's so unccoperative when it comes to picture taking that it's pretty impossible to get a good picture of him. So here's some more Ashlyn pictures.

It's kind of sad to see how much she's grown up in the last year. Definitely more little girl now than baby!

A Little Nostalgia

When we were in Washington, I made Rusty and the kids treck up through some pretty dense forest to get to my old stomping grounds.  I lived about 40 feet from some railroad tracks growing up and me and my siblings spent a lot of our time on these and in the woods surrounding them.

I miss all that green!

Lacey Wins!

Well, it was close enough anyways.  No one noticed that Lacey and I have each other's blogs linked again?  We're like e-BFFs now.

And second place, honorary mention has to go to Jon and Becky.  I hate France, so anything that makes fun of them has to be given proper credit.

I'm going to tally up scores now and post the top three winners to the left.  Remember, one point per comment.  But you'll be docked points if

you

do

this.

And for those of you who were wondering, yeah, it is a pathetic attempt at getting more comments on my blog.

PINK!

Ashlyn's been slightly obssessed with the color pink, so my sister made her a pink cupcake. Yeah, Ashlyn went to church the next day with stained pink cheeks. You'd think I would've remembered that food coloring stains skin! Or Misty and Nicole should have reminded me since they were both there, and I'm sure they remember...

She also still thinks her hair is pink. She was wearing a yellow shirt at my mom's house and my mom commented on how the yellow shirt matched her hair. Ashlyn was almost offended, "My hair is not yellow, it's pink!"

And then after we got home, Ashlyn saw our little Seattle temple figurine and said, "I'm going to get married in the temple." And I said, "Oh yeah? Which one?" She said, "The pink one!"

It's probably not very likely that one of the new temples they announced is going to be pink.

Austin's one!!

We had a birthday party for Austin recently, here's all the kids that came. This is probably the best one out of the 30+ pictures that I took because two kids are actually looking at the camera.

Here are the cousins on my side of the family. As of Tuesday, this photo is officialy outdated!

Here's the birthday boy!

I'm so proud that he just picked up his cupcake and dug in. Ashlyn just daintily licked frosting off of her fingers for about 20 minutes. Austin had this entire thing consumed in less than 2 minutes. He must get that from me.

And 3 points to whoever can make up the craziest explanation for it.

4.5 miles

I just ran 4. 5 miles without stopping!  That Couch to 5K thing really works.  I've been running a lot lately, but haven't lost any weight.  So I guess I need to kick it up a notch.  Or maybe I could stop eating junk.  Tonight when I got home, I said, "It's chilly outside, my freat is sweezing."  So maybe it's brain cells I'm losing instead of fat cells.  That would explain it.

Sense of Humor?

I really hope Katie NW has a sense of humor. Actually, after everything that she has done, I don't really care if she does or not. She spent way too much time on my blog this morning, so I blocked her. Now whenever she comes to my site, she will automatically be forwarded to this video instead.

My Fake Baby

Maybe she'll get the hint to stop stealing pictures of other babies, and she can just buy a fake one of her own.
